Hey everyone! Wow, what a month so far! Where to start. I don’t know about you, but I’ve been just a bit preoccupied with the hijinks out of Washington lately. Between the Epstein saga and our feckless leader’s escalating disregard for law or democracy, it feels a bit like every day has started off with a shit show in the morning news over coffee.

So, what’s a girl to do? Well, I’ve revamped my site about a gazillion times. Clear evidence of rampant squirrel-brain. Ugh, I need to get a job!
I actually have one, but am currently dealing with medical issues, so taking an extended hiatus — in case you were wondering just what in the hell is wrong with me. After all, sharing is caring.
It’s been a bit of a blur, tbh. Between sick kitties and round-the-clock feedings, VA appointments and phone calls to make appointments, democracy burning to the ground… time is definitely distorted for me right now.
I recently passed my monthiversary on Substack, though I’ve been active for much less. I guess time really does fly. I’ve gotten a lot done, but there’s still so much left to do.
But.
Before we get into project updates, let me say something:
It’s been really great to connect with some truly amazing people. I can’t express how much I’m enjoying your writing and looking forward to digging deeper. This little community is a pretty amazing place to spend time. So… really… thank you.
Also, I must say that the pushback from CA this last week has made the part of me that likes to out-bully the bully grin. Like a lot. I’m hopeful… and I’m going to hold on to that feeling. 💜

Project Updates
Tracks
Continuing work developing on what was originally a short story begun on Reedsy, I am writing a novel! Several chapters are already written; I have the story plot developed all the way through. I will start releasing chapters soon!
New Novel Idea (Title TBA)
I’ve fully fleshed out the beats of this story and have laid down the intro. I’m working on balancing these various projects but will keep you informed as I hit milestones with this new work.
Pocket Unicorn
Currently on hold as the DAW I’ve been using has pretty much tanked. I’m in the process of transferring my projects out into a new system. More to come!

Always poetry: even through this recent insanity, I’m still writing daily.
Into the Fire Collection
Okay, I know what you’re probably thinking: wait wut? Didn’t you already release this? The answer is yes! However, over time and reflection, I decided it needed just a bit more time in the oven, so. I have completed work on the first volume! Yes, there will be more volumes — already fleshed out and I’m beginning work on the second with image selection. I’m currently engaging with a small number of readers who have graciously offered to do ARC readings for me and have already provided invaluable feedback. A special thanks to
